Film on countertops

Marble is soft, and it reacts to acid. Lemon, wine, coffee and some cleaners can etch a dull spot into a polished top, and a bar top takes that every night. A clear protection film over the stone takes the spills, the glasses and the scratches instead, and it can be replaced when it wears.

Indoors we use CovrGard, the same paint protection film we put on cars. Outdoors we use Yacht Armor, the marine film we put on boats, because it is made for sun and weather. Film starts at $25 per square foot. Done right, you see the stone, not the film.

A Savannah jazz bar, inside and out

We recently put clear film on every marble countertop at a new jazz bar in Savannah, inside and out. Film keeps the marble looking new under drinks, citrus and spills.

Counters do not come to the shop, so this work is always done on site. See the photos in our work.

Ceramic coating for outdoor kitchens and more

We coat outdoor kitchens often: stone counters, stainless and aluminum, glass, grills, appliances, windows, even metal trash cans. Grease, pollen and rain wipe off a coated surface instead of soaking in.

We use System X ceramic coatings, the same ones on our cars and boats. Max G+ leaves a slick finish. Where a surface should not be slick, like a counter you set things on, we use System X Xtreme. Coatings start at $500.

How long it lasts

Film and coatings on a counter or an outdoor kitchen last as long as they do on a car or a boat. See warranty for each brand’s terms. We do not register a brand warranty on surface work, but our own 3-year warranty on our work applies, the same as on every job.

Surface questions

Can you put film on marble countertops?

Yes. We just filmed every marble counter at a new jazz bar in Savannah. Clear film takes the etching, stains and scratches so the stone does not.

Will a coated counter be slippery?

Only if you want it to be. System X Max G+ is slick. System X Xtreme is not, so we use it on counters that should not be.

What does it cost?

Film starts at $25 per square foot and ceramic coatings at $500. Send photos and rough measurements and we will give you the price before any work starts.

Do you do homes or only businesses?

Both. Kitchens and outdoor kitchens at home, and bars, restaurants and businesses.

How far do you travel for surface work?

Statesboro, Savannah and the coast, the same area as the rest of our work. See service areas.

They did a great job on my boat I would definitely recommend. Sent a text message alert of the scheduled date, communicated through the process, and kept all their timelines and promises.
