Ceramic coating
Do I still have to wash a ceramic coated car?
Yes. It washes easier and faster, but dirt still lands on it.
Do I need to wax a ceramic coated car?
No. Wax on top only hides the coating’s own slickness and water beading.
Does ceramic coating stop rock chips?
No. A coating is too thin. Paint protection film stops chips.
What does ceramic coating cost?
Packages run $1,200 to $2,700, with the paint prep included. Vehicle size and the paint set the final price.

Paint protection film
Is PPF a coating?
No. Paint protection film is a physical film. Ceramic coating is a liquid coating.
What does PPF cost?
Partial front from $1,200, full front from $2,200, track package from $3,000 and full body from $6,000. Every film job is topped with a ceramic coating, priced in addition.
What does full front cover?
Full bumper, full hood, full fenders, headlights and the backs of the mirrors.
Does PPF yellow or peel?
Quality modern films are made to resist yellowing, and careful prep and install keeps edges down.

Ceramic coating vs PPF
Which is better?
Neither. Film stops chips; a coating makes paint glossy and easy to wash. Many owners get both.
Can you coat over PPF?
Yes. It is a common combination.

Paint correction
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?
Usually some. A coating seals in whatever is in the paint.
What does paint correction cost?
1-step from $600 and 2-step from $900. It is included in every ceramic coating package.
Can it remove every scratch?
No. If your fingernail catches in a scratch, it has gone through the clear coat and polishing will not remove it.

Boat paint protection film
What does boat paint protection film cost?
Hull film from $25 per square foot, topside from $35, motors from $750 and screens from $50 each.
Where does film go on a boat?
The fender line, bow, gunwales, transom, swim platform and cockpit sides are the common spots.

Boat ceramic coating
Does ceramic coating work on boats?
Yes, on clean, polished gelcoat. Oxidized gelcoat gets sanded and buffed first, priced in addition.
What does a boat coating cost?
From $75 per foot for a hull-only package. The package, the coating line and the gelcoat set the final price.
Do you restore oxidized gelcoat?
We sand and buff it before film or a coating goes on. Full restorations are done by Elite Mobile Detailing, our detailing side.

About the shop
Where are you?
23060 US 80 E, Statesboro, GA 30461. Open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Saturdays on request, for a fee.
How long will you have it?
Most car and truck jobs take 2 to 5 days, and most boat jobs 3 to 7 days.
How far do you travel?
We serve owners up to 100 miles out, including Savannah, further on request. See service areas.
Do you come to me, or do I come to the shop?
Either. We come to you for boat work, ceramic coating and paint correction. No travel fee to marinas; homes more than an hour out are typically $100. Paint protection film on cars is done at the shop, and a car coating at your place needs a covered spot. Pick-up and drop-off is available for a fee.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry general liability coverage up to $2 million aggregate, and we are insured to transport cars and boats for pick-up and drop-off.
What brands do you use?
System X ceramic coatings (Max G+ and Phantom), CovrGard paint protection film and Yacht Armor marine protection film, as Certified Installers for all three, plus Starke Yacht Care. See warranty.
Do you do vinyl wraps?
Coming soon, for cars and boats.
Do you protect countertops and outdoor kitchens?
Yes. Clear film on countertops from $25 per square foot, and ceramic coating for outdoor kitchens, grills, glass and metal from $500, for homes and businesses. See surface protection.
Do you train other detailers?
Yes. A two-day, hands-on System X boat coating class for detail shops, $999 per person, and trainees become System X Certified Installers. See System X training.
Do you do regular detailing or window tint?
Not here. We do not offer window tint. Detailing and maintenance packages are done by Elite Mobile Detailing, our detailing side.
